What made you start photography?

– At the beginning of the 2000s, I was living in Uppsala and studying art with a specialization in photography. It was there that I wrote several essays on artists including Man Ray and Annika von Hausswolff. During that period, I developed a desire to explore the medium myself. I purchased a Nikon D70, and soon after, I was hooked. A few years later, I applied to the University of Photography and moved to Gothenburg to join their Bachelor's program. I haven't stopped taking pictures since then; photography has become both my profession and my passion.

Which camera(s) do you use?

– For work, I rent various cameras as needed. In my leisure time, I shoot with a Fujifilm X-T5 or X-T20. They are excellent cameras that offer both quality and portability.

Are there any photographers you are inspired by?

– Absolutely! I find inspiration in the works of many photographers, including Sarah Moon, Sally Mann, Annika von Hausswolff, Josef Koudelka, Garry Winogrand, and Lars Tunbjörk, to name just a few. Additionally, music significantly influences my image creation process. I strive to capture the atmosphere and emotions conveyed by music in my photographs. This approach may sound abstract, but it is a fundamental aspect of my creative process in photography.

What inspired you to start photography?
– My interest in visual arts has been long-standing. I enjoyed drawing as a child, engaged in graffiti as a teenager, and studied graphic design as an adult. It felt natural to document my surroundings—initially using my mobile phone's camera—which gradually evolved into a more serious interest a few years ago when a good friend introduced me to the basics.

Which camera(s) do you use?
– Digitally, I use a Nikon D600. It was my first professional camera. However, after experimenting with both mirrorless cameras and a few newer, more expensive models, I returned to the reliable old Nikon D600. I almost exclusively shoot with manual lenses as I don't require the latest technology like face recognition and other features. The 35mm, 50mm, and 100mm lenses from Nikon's E series are compact and lightweight, ideal for travel, and meet all my needs. I use a Nikkor 50mm f1.2 AI lens when I desire a more dreamy feel, shallower depth of field, or am in low-light conditions.

For analog photography, my choices vary, but I primarily use a Nikon F3 and an Olympus XA when on the move. I also have a Rolleicord and a Baby Rolleiflex for special occasions.

Are there any photographers who inspire you?
– There are many! But here are 10, in no particular order: Nick Carver, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Rob Chambliss, Thron Ullberg, Ken Wilkinson, Tore Hagman, Gustav Gräll, Francisco Marin, Richard Roberts, and Christophe Jacrot. I could extend this list significantly, but that's for another time.

What inspired you to start photography?

– Well, the urban landscape - with its scale, colours, lights, shadows and reflections - has always interested me. Not least how the same place can appear so separate on two different occassions due to for example the season or time of the day. Photography is my diary and it allows me to capture this fluidity.

What camera are you currently using?

– I use a set of different cameras. Right now, I tend to use the Nikon Z6, the Fujifilm X-T5 and the Ricoh GRIII the most.

Are there any photographers who particularly inspire you?

– There are so many great photographers out there, but if you ask me today I will say Siegfried Hansen!

What inspired you to start photography?

In 2017, when I got a dog, I realized that my iPhone wasn't sufficient anymore. I wanted to capture not only my dog but also the surrounding environments during our outings.

What camera are you currently using?

– I initially started with a Fujifilm system camera, which marked the beginning of my serious involvement in photography. Currently, I use a Leica M10-P, and my go-to lens is the Voigtländer Ultron 28mmF2.

Are there any photographers who particularly inspire you?

While I admit to having a limited awareness of other photographers' work, I draw inspiration from the unique perspectives captured by some, such as Anders Petersen and William Eggleston.

What inspired you to start photography?

– I embarked on my photography journey in my early 20s, initially dabbling in the craft but not fully committing to it. It wasn't until five years ago, when I started capturing moments at work, that everything changed. Since then, I've essentially become inseparable from my camera, ensuring it accompanies me wherever I go.

What camera are you currently using?

– As for my current camera setup, I opt for a Fujifilm X-E4 for digital shoots. When it comes to analog photography, I prefer the classic combination of a Leica M6 and a Canonet QL17 Giii. I have a soft spot for compact and practical cameras that effortlessly blend into my daily routine.

Are there any photographers who particularly inspire you?

– I draw inspiration from a multitude of photographers, and the way I engage with photography mirrors the evolution of music consumption. While in the past, one might listen to entire albums from favorite artists, nowadays, it's more about individual songs curated into various Spotify playlists — or in this case, Instagram feeds. To name a few photographers who particularly captivate me, Saul Leiter's work resonates deeply, alongside the impressive portfolios of Joakim Möller, Olof Grind, and Vivian Maier.
